Hawaii State FCU Scholarship Program The Hawaii State FCU Scholarship Program was established in 1996 with the goal of helping members improve their lives through the pursuit of a higher education. Over the program’s history, over $350,000 has been awarded to some of Hawaii’s best and brightest students.
Any Hawaii State FCU member or their dependent seeking a post-high school education can apply. Scholarship recipients are selected based on financial need, academic merit and extra-curricular activities. There are five applicant categories: Incoming Freshmen, Traditional Students (sophomores, juniors and seniors), Graduate School Students, Trade or Vocational Students and Returning Students (adults returning to school after a break of 5+ years). The HSFCU Scholarship Program runs from January through March every year. Each scholarship is in the amount of $2,000 and there are a total of 15 scholarships awarded annually.

Investing in Education Grant for Public School Teachers Hawaii State Federal Credit Union recognizes and appreciates the extraordinary effort and sacrifice that Hawaii’s public school teachers provide to our community. We know too, that many teachers use their personal money to pay for needed classroom supplies. Therefore, Hawaii State FCU offers the Investing in Education Grant to assist teachers in the Department of Education obtain much needed supplies, books, furniture, electronics equipment and other basic necessities for their classrooms.
