75th Annual Meeting & Dinner

5:00 pm Annual Meeting* in the South Pacific Ballroom
6:00 pm Annual Dinner in the Coral Ballroom

Please join us in celebrating our 75th Annual Meeting and Dinner on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The Meeting starts promptly at 5:00 pm and is open to Hawaii State FCU members only. The results of the 2012 Board of Directors Elections will be announced. All members who attend the Meeting will also be entered into a prize drawing.

Our 75th Annual Dinner begins at 6:00 pm immediately following the Business Meeting. It will be a fun and exciting evening with host Billy V, a delicious buffet dinner, and entertainment by Willie K! This is an evening you will not want to miss.

Self parking is $8.00 cash or credit and valet parking is $13.00 cash only. Entrance to the parking garage is located on the grounds. Enter from Kalia Road. ADA accessible parking is available on the 1st and 3rd floor of the parking garage.

Actual ticket(s) and your table assignment(s) will be distributed two (2) weeks prior to the Annual Dinner.

Tickets for the 75th Annual Dinner are $30 per person. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis. Ticket order forms must be received by Friday, February 24, 2012.

SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE

Hawaii State Federal Credit Union is currently seeking candidates for open seats on our Supervisory Committee. Each seat carries a three year term, with a limit of no more than three terms. By volunteering for the Supervisory Committee, you have the opportunity to take an active role in making Hawaii State FCU Hawaii’s premier credit union. The Supervisory Committee is responsible for ensuring that HSFCU’s Board of Directors and management meet financial reporting objectives and establish practices and procedures to safeguard members’ assets.

The Supervisory Committee meets on a monthly basis and performs an important role in reviewing various credit union operations and ensuring they are functioning properly. Candidates must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a Hawaii State FCU member independent from the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, Nominations, and Elections Committee, management, and staff of Hawaii State FCU or any other credit union
  • Possess the highest level of integrity and ethics
  • Have the courage to raise and discuss issues
  • Be able to read and understand basic financial statements.
  • Be willing to devote sufficient time to fulfill their duties and responsibilities

2012 HSFCU Scholarship Program

Each year, Hawaii State FCU members and their dependents who will be attending a fully accredited college, university or trade/vocational school are eligible to apply for the HSFCU Scholarship Program.  This year, a total of 15 scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $2,000 each.  There are five applicant categories:

  • Incoming Freshmen
  • Returning Undergraduate Students (sophomores, juniors, seniors)
  • Graduate School Students
  • Community College, Trade and Vocational School Students
  • Returning Adult Students (after a break of 5 years or more)


To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must submit the following by the deadline:

  • Application Form
  • Personal Essay (no more than 2 pages, double spaced)
  • List of Achievements, Community Service & Awards
  • Official Transcripts (must be in sealed envelope from school)
  • Two Letters of Recommendation
  • Student Aid Report (must include Estimated Family Contribution [EFC] number)

Telephone Survey Calls

In order to improve the service we provide to members, our partners, Market Trends Pacific, will be randomly contacting Hawaii State FCU members within 48 hours of opening an account, applying for a loan, or conducting a teller or call center transaction.  Telephone calls will be made in the evening hours and will only take a few minutes. Your participation is voluntary and no personal or confidential information will be asked of you, nor will you be solicited to purchase anything. We are only interested in your honest opinions, so we hope you can spend some time to share your feedback if you are called.

 2012 Board of Directors Election

February 10 – March 10, 2012

Beginning February 10th, all eligible members will have an opportunity to vote by using one of three convenient voting methods:

  • Secure Internet Website, CLICK HERE to Vote Now!
  • Telephone, call toll-free 1 (877) 811-3748
  • A  paper ballot mailed by February 10th to all eligible voting members

Voting by secure internet website and telephone will be available from 12:00 a.m. February 10th through 11:59 p.m. March 10th. Paper ballots will be mailed by February 10th. Completed ballots must be received by March 10th. Regardless of the voting process you select, you may only vote once, must be 16 years or older, and must be a member of Hawaii State FCU as of December 31, 2011.
